Burn Out On 66 is a non-profit organization dedicated to helping families affected by pediatric cancer. Our journey began in May of 2019 when Braxton Landburg was diagnosed with a rare and incurable cancer called DIPG. Jake Powell (our founder and president) is a close family friend of the Landburgs and felt he needed to do something to help support Braxton and his family. Within just a few short months of Braxtons diagnosis a group of friends and many volunteers
were able to put together a car show called
Burn Out On 66.
Our first show in 2019 was a success. We had an awesome turnout of participants, spectators, and volunteers. We knew from that point forward this was not a "one and done". Since 2019 we have hosted an annual car show event to raise money for individuals affected by pediatric cancer. In 2022 we elected a board and became an official 501(c)(3) as the Burn Out On 66 Foundation. Our board is comprised of all volunteers with a passion to serve and a mission to help as many families battling childhood cancer as we can through involvement in community events and our annual show.
We encourage you to visit all areas of our website to learn more about Braxton, the other children we have helped, our annual event, our mission and how you can help us make a difference!
